Terms & Conditions
The basis on which we quote for, carry out and guarantee work, and the terms of using this website.
1. About these terms
These terms apply to work carried out by Monarch Roofing & Property Maintenance of 12 Marlborough Road, Stockton on Tees, United Kingdom, and to your use of this website. Accepting a quote from us means accepting these terms.
2. Quotes and pricing
We quote on a fixed-price basis and do not charge day rates. A quote is issued after we have inspected the roof or property and is based on the work described in it. If you later ask for additional work, or if something is uncovered that was not visible at inspection and could not reasonably have been foreseen, we will tell you before proceeding and agree any revised price with you in writing. We do not begin extra chargeable work without your agreement.
3. Scheduling and access
Work dates are agreed with you in advance. Roofing is weather-dependent and dates may move where conditions make work unsafe; we will keep you informed. You agree to provide safe access to the property, including for scaffold where the job requires it, and to tell us about anything on site we should know about.
4. Emergency work
We offer 24/7 emergency roof repairs and operate open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Emergency attendance is often a temporary measure to stop water entering; any permanent repair is quoted separately on a fixed-price basis. We do not guarantee a specific arrival time.
5. Payment
We accept payment by cash, card, bank transfer or cheque. Payment terms are set out on your quote or invoice. Title to any materials supplied remains with us until payment has been received in full.
6. Guarantee
New roof replacements carry a 15-year guarantee on our workmanship, confirmed in writing with your quote. The guarantee covers the workmanship on the roof we installed. It does not cover storm or accidental damage, damage caused by third parties working on the roof afterwards, movement or defects in parts of the structure we did not install, or normal wear. Other work is covered by your statutory rights. Manufacturer warranties on materials, where they exist, are provided by the manufacturer.
7. Cancellation
Where you engage us as a consumer away from our business premises, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of agreeing the work. If you ask us to begin within that period, for example for an emergency repair, and then cancel, you may be charged for the work carried out up to that point. To cancel, contact us at monarchroofingpropertymaintenance@mail.com.
8. Complaints
If something is not right, tell us. Call 07384 659498 or email us and we will look at it. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
9. Website use
Content on this website is provided for general information about our services and is not a quotation. Prices are never given on this website; every job is priced after inspection. Text, images and branding on this site belong to us and may not be reproduced without permission.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law applying where the work is carried out, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
